About
The mission of MOBILE COMMUNITY SHOWER & WELLNESS SERVICES (“MCSWS”) is to improve the quality of life of individuals experiencing homelessness in New York City, by reducing their exposure to communicable and noncommunicable disease. This will be achieved by providing access to mobile shower trailer, portable hand washing stations, toilet facilities, haircut, laundry, new and clean clothing, meals, and survival kits. MCSWS will provide peer recovery coaching intervention for substance abuse and mental illness, and intensive case management for other supportive social services in order to revitalize physical and mental wellness while inspiring hope, respect, self-esteem, and the desire to achieve self-sufficiency.
